O2 sensors for 08's

I need to install o2 sensors back in my pipes. I'm running a thunderheader now with plugs in them. My question is do I need the speacial socket from HD to install them with the pipes on the bike or is there enough room for a wrench between pipes and jugs. Thanks

Not familiar with your pipes but I wouldn't think you would. Try it first without the wrench.

I'm not sure of any clearance differences between the 08 and 09, but when I yanked my o2's (on my 09) I used a standard o2 sensor socket. (Deep socket, with a cutaway). And a socket from a parts store has gotta be cheaper than the HD equivalent.

Just took mine out to replace the pipes, used an old 7/8's combination wrench that I bent a little, didn't buy a special tool. Just unplug them and use the wrench, it works. When you replace them don't forget to put some anti freeze on the threads and be careful.
