there's obviously another screw that you missed...
because there are TWO screws holding the switch housings together..

Very sorry. After I was done with the clutch cable I moved onto the switches on the throttle side, not the clutch side. Yes there are two screws holding the assembly together but I just never saw the bottom one. I just started wearing glasses and I still missed the screw on the bottom of the switch assembly. Got that apart and took the throttle and idle cables off. Re-assembly of those to will deffinetely be fun. I measurec the cable adjustments and hopefully the throtle and idle will be close. Sorry for leading you guys on a goose chase. Embarassing maybe. Appreciative of your help.. most certainly. Cheers
