i have the hd and flash to pass, they both work good but are different, the difference is the hd one istalls at the motor in your ceiling , the flash to pass installs at your switch on the wall , what i didn't like about the ftp was it is suppose to replace your garage door wall switch and it is a basic switch, my garage door wall switch has many features i did not want to give up, so what i did was leave my original wall switch hooked up, mounted the ftp swich below it and jumped off the original switch down to it, now both switches work and i didn't loose any features, for the money you are better off with the ftp, also if you order direct and you are an ama member you get 10% off

I have a Liftmaster garage door opener. They are sold under many name brands including Chamberland and craftsman.

The remotes run off a small 12 vdc battery.

I took a extra remote, soldered wires to the positive and negitive battery contacts and to either side of the push button. mounted the remote inside my fairing, connected the power leads to 12 volt switched (only on when key is on) and installed a push button on my fairing connected to the push botton leads on the curcuit board.

The mod works great, the remote will work the door 75 to 100 yards away. much better than the one in my truck.

I'm sure if you wanted you could hook up a relay of the high beam and operate it to.

For those who use the HD unit is it ok to mount the transmitter under the seat instead of in the fairing for the tourers?

Just wondering if it cuts the working range. I see that is the location for Dynas per the inx sheet.

$64.95 to my door, no tax or shipping.

HD's is $129.95 + tax.

For what it's worth, I spoke to THE guy from Flash2Pass this week, he informed me that they were the exclusive supplier for HD's version until recently HD decided not to renew their exclusive rights to his product.

He told me it was actually a good thing, he sells more of them now.
ditto for me too. Not worth the extra $60 to get an HD somewhere on the plastic housing.

Why would ya? I just did mine and it was easy to mount inside the fairing, and easy to wire to the power and the headlight wires.
