I've had a 8" Clearview for 2 yrs and 30k miles and it has been very good. I'm not real nice to it as far as cleaning it. I just grab a damp towell and rub the bugs off, give it a quick spray with Plexis wipe with a micro fiber cloth and ride. It is still clear and no visible scratches. I would buy again
I have bought several Blems...they are not noticeable to me. call and ask what they have in stock blems or not, they dont list all. anyway IMHO the best W/S out there.
I have had both Clearview and Long Ride. Long Ride will get to you FAST and is cheaper, but seemed to scratch up pretty easy from normal use. I have had a couple of Clearviews on different bikes and yes, you have to wait, but the quality is top notch.
FWIW, I now have a Klockwerks shield on my Street Glide, though, and I am very happy with it.
I have 2 Clearviews (waited between 5 & 7 weeks for each) and 2 LRS's (waited between 2 & 4 days for each and paid around 2/3 what the Clearviews cost).
Both put out quality products. One is much faster and considerably less expensive.
+1 I totally agree... I have a blem one too.. mounting holes were supposed to be wrong.. everything lined right up for me... am thinking the inspector musta been cross-eyed..lol
+1 I've got a 10.5" dark grey recurve (I'm 6'5") on my 09 SG. Works great, looks good and fast delivery (mine was in stock). Clearview also has a great return policy that allows you to test ride the new shield.
