I am planning on replacing my stock windshield (like many of you have already done). I have seen a mix of responses across several threads.
I like the simple recurve and price of the Clearview windshields, however it sounds like they can be a little slow to respond to orders. Is that true? How slow is slow? I don't want to wait all summer or get into a blemished unit - that is partly why I am replacing the stock one now.
Who else sells a simple recurve or flare windshield? What has been your experience with the company?
I too am in the market for one. Those are about the only two companies Ive found with just a simple curve. Long Ride Shields, and Clearview. Have not tried either one. I was looking at the 6.5" and the 8". Im 5'9".
You'd be hard pressed to find defects in a blem from Clearview unless you got a microscope. I've had 2 of them and was very pleased with both.
+1 I totally agree... I have a blem one too.. mounting holes were supposed to be wrong.. everything lined right up for me... am thinking the inspector musta been cross-eyed..lol
Clearview - Excellent quality and highly recommended. Ordered 2 of them a couple of years ago and shipped within a couple of weeks. I would think the blems would ship pretty fast as they are already made. Good people to deal with.
For what its worth, I have an 8" shield with recurve. I am 5'10" and see way over it which is the way I like it - I could have bought the 9 1/2" and would still see over it fine.
Clearview. Look and see if they have one in stock or a blemish on the site. They had mine in stock and I got it in 3 days. A buddy of mine bought a blemish. You would have a hard time seeing the blemish.
