I just went back to my stock clear windshield on my '07 RG from the 5" balck deflector from Harley. I can't believe how much better the music sounds and the reduction of wind noise. With that being said, I would like something that is more asthetically appealing but maintains good function for long interstate rides. The stock clear looks terrible in my opinion. I am favoring the Cee Bailey 14" dome. Has anyone run this winshield and if so, how does it compare to the stocker in size and function? Pics would be great.
I don't have a CB, currently running the Kury Tourmaster, but folks on another forum like CBs. They said the dome version helps more than the Euro for the passenger.
I got this info from CBs site. Now I'm not sure if they adjusted it for 2010 RGs with the fairing sitting 1" higher or not (meaning someone up to 5'9" could use a 14").

Suggested Sizing is for most average body builds on stock seats. Riders that are caught in between sizes need to determine torso, posture, and neck considerations for best results. 14" for most riders under 5’6"
15" for most riders 5'7" to 5’9"
16" for most riders 5’10 to 6’0"
17” for most riders 6’1” to 6’3”
18” for riders 6’4” and above
Not sure what you mean by "dome" but my 14" Cee Bailey worked better than a 5" deflector.... but that ain't saying much.... At 5'8" with a 28" inseam... I'm long torsoed... I caught a lot of wind, and my glasses would rattle off my head... causing "double vision"
I wound up with the Clearview (which it sounds like you wouldn't like the looks of....

I can't comment on the 14" dome, but I do have the CB 14" TRSSC euro one. So far it's the best combination of looks and performance FOR ME. I prefer the LOOK of a shorter shield, and tried a bunch from 6-12" and found I needed 14" FOR ME for interstate rides that didn't require earplugs and let me hear the stereo. the 12" Klock Werks shield is my 2nd favorite, better for looks but slightly more wind noise. But I kept it I may switch back and forth. the CB shield I have has a flatter portion on top compared to their dome shape, which to my thinking makes the wind flow around my head a little wider, but no clue if thats really the case or not.
I am running a 15" SERG Cee Baileys on my 08 RG and it is by far the best shield I have ever used. To answer any questions about the SERG yes you can use it on a stock RG even though their web site says you cant, all you need is the serg windshield gasket and retro bolt kit which is a great set up and much better than the rubber junk harley put on stock bikes. Do not have part #with me now for gasket but can get it if someone needs it, it would also be listed in a post I did here last year on this setup.
I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam and have been running a 16" CB for almost a year. It is better than the full size stock shield, the CB hits me at about mouth/nose level so I am looking over it. I do a lot of 2-up riding and my wife has never complained (so she is either a real trooper or it is not that bad).
I tried the 14" Cee Bailey and it was terrible. Stock was better. The Cee Bailey is designed perfectly to guide all the wind at your ears and forehead, as is the KW. I now have a stock height tinted Clearview. I have tried the 12" KW, the 14" CB, the Stock, and now the stock height Clearview. IMO, the Clearview is the only windshield that improves upon the stock design. I really wanted to like to the the KW and the CB, because they really do look better. It's a matter of form over function with them. I think a lot of people are just fooling themselves when they say the KW or CB is better; only because they truly want the better look of those windshields. I didn't come to my opinion lightly, I wasted a bunch of money getting there. I would have prefered to have installed the 12" KW and been done w/it, but it was expensive getting to the realization that the Clearview is the best.
I'm about 5'10" with a 32 inch inseam. I have the 15" Cee Bailey's Euro and couldn't be happier. I'm sure a huge Clearview would offer even more protection, but that's not the look I wanted for my bike. With the lowers, I can ride at 70 mph and get very minimal buffeting, depending on which way the wind is blowing.
I am 6'3" with 34" inseam, I have the 17" Cee Baileys euro and absolutely love it. Can here tunes clearly at 80mph riding in a pack. with stock radio and J&M speakers.
