I had them lower my well used stock shocks 1and 1/2inches and am satisfied,I previously had a 1in lowering kit ,and tried the harley low profile shocks. The bitchin bagggers setup rides a bit better than the other 2.But nothing rides like stock hgt.You will have to run more air 30-35lbs.

I am very happy with the job they did on mine. I bought a set of take off shocks and sent to them so I wouldn't be without a ride. Can't remember exactly how long it took but it seems like it was 10 to 12 days from the time I shipped them off til the time I received them.

I think they rework your shocks as well as shortening them so buying new would keep you riding til the shocks arrived but I don't think there would be much, if any difference in the quality. That's only my opinion.

I spoke with Ron at BitchinBaggers about doing my shocks. He actually does not shorten them but replaces the springs and oil. He will do yours for $175 plus shipping or sell you a set for $275 but then refund you $60 if you send yours back to him after you remount the new ones. He also gives you a 10 day trial period and will rework them if you decide you want them even lower. He is a machinist by trade. Although he publishes no Guaranteee he says he will guarantee his work for the life you own the shocks. I may go this route on my StreetGlide after I replace my stock seat as I am vertically challenged on this brute and need to get my a$$ lower to the ground. Oh by the way I think he told me a 10% discount for HDForum members but not sure.
Others have reported here good success with BitchinBaggers.

Ron may be hard to get ahold of for the next few days. Thought I saw him and a friend loading up for a bike ride this morning. Knowing him he'll be gone until next week sometime.

Ron is meticulous in his work and truly does everything that he can to make sure that his customers are satisfied with his products. I just wish I could get him to work on my stuff once in a while.

ron re worked my street glide shocks to 11" and i also bought his 1 1/2" front lowering kit (consist of the HD 1" lowering kit and a shorter damper rod)
it doesnt ride as good as stock obviously but im very pleased. and turn around time was exactly what he said.. 2 days shipping to him from ohio, he had them for 2 days doing the work and 2 days back.

Ron is a stand up guy, and knows his ****!

Nobody is ever happy with ride quality once shocks are lowered. There is a reason for the way they are originally engineered. Better options: seat rework by Mean City Cycles, change oil in shocks, boots with big soles and heels. I found that the correct oil in the shocks makes a world of difference. Mechanical lowering is a recipe for dissatisfaction.
