Cruise no lower than 2500...but try and maintain 2800.

Shift around 3500 when not goofing off.

When I'm puttin' around town, I usually shift before 2k rpm.
If I'm on the road, I keep it above 2k.
I have no problem doing 60mph in 6th gear.

Your are lugging your motor...
No problem if you don't mind the engine lasting half as long as it should.

My bike runs strong at 2250 to 2500 om the highwy in 6th gear.
If I 'm feeling the need, I will spin it up to 5,000 before I shift.

Bullshit. Its only lugging if you if you apply to much throttle. I run mine down to 1500 RPM all the time in the twisty roads.

I dont shift to 6th until around 75. Lugging the engine is way harder on it than rolling it in the sweet spot RPM range. If you are at 1500 RPM in the twisties, you are definitely lugging the motor, that is unless you are going down hill.

1800-2200 RPM when cruising at lower speeds unless going up a grade or need to accelerate rapidly. I like the deep, low authoratative rumble and the 107", with the performance combination installed it is not lugging the engine, still has plenty of acceleration. Some of the people I ride with are always reving like they are riding a ricer, now that is extra wear and tear on a Harley engine.
