Tie into the two available wires on the headlight plug, it there for European models....works great.
Casper is right about using the spare leads at the headlight plug. If you look at the wiring diagram for your bike you'll see that those wires are common with the cigarette lighter, so it's the same thing however you do it. Of course with the spare leads at the headlight all you need are two blade connectors on the end of your GPS power cord............
These are the connecting parts that come with the Road Tech Fairing Mount Kit:
Tab terminal, male, #14-18 AWG (2) 9853
Housing, tab terminal, male, one-way (2) 72053-92
With these parts, and a W crimper available at Harbor Freight or an auto parts store, you have a nice Deutsch connector for power inside the fairing you can take apart as needed.
