This winter I removed the tour pac and bought a Danny Gray Speed Cradle seat.I'm very pleased with the comfort and quality of the seat and I love the solo look.

Now ya gotta get rid of that whip antenna. Go to ebay and buy a $21.95, (shipped) antenna that hides in the batwing. Best 22 bucks I spent. I like the seat!!!!!!

But I heard that anything but the stock antenna kills reception...might look good, but radio reception is lost!

Nah!! I've been running one of those 'Rubber Duckies' for years... doesn't reduce the reception that I can tell.
Have been thinking of a 'hidden antenna' lately.

Nice seat - flows well w/the tank & rear fender. How's the comfort? The deep pan looks like it would support the lower back...gr8 job!

Nope.....It will not kill the reception. I can only speak for the unit that I bought off of E-bay. I had a rubber ducky antenna on, and replaced it with the hidden one and the reception was a lot better.

Ok I will tell you the way it is.......

*Short rubber antenna..........Ok reception
*Factory antenna................Great reception
*Hidden antenna.................Just about as great as the factory one.

Bottom line is I will give up a tiny bit of reception to get rid of what I think is a ugly whip antenna. Plus the hidden antenna has weather band also, just like the factory one.

As I said earlier......Best 22.00 spent.
