Default HELP!!! Crankcase position sensor code #41

Does anyone know the Part # for a 2000 EG crankshaft position sensor? Bike won't start, rode it a week ago & it ran fine, pulled it into the garage, backed it out today & it wouldn't fire, not even a pop. I checked the plugs & they were dry, so no fuel delivery, checked for codes & got #41 crankshaft position sensor. Bike is a 2000 EG with MM fuel injection, it seems as if I had to replace the same sensor on my 99 RKC at about the same mileage, mid 70K, the same thing seemed to happen, rode OK went to start nothing. I'm thinking I'm just going to replace the sensor myself & take my chances that that is the problem, does anyone know the part # for a 2000 crank pos sensor? TIA Doug

Thanks dawg, I just got back from picking one up. I called 5 different dealers, 3 had one in stock, but the rub is each dealer gave me a different price. Luckily the dealer closest quoted me list price $54.70, the dealer that I usually use quoted $60.17 that's 10% over list, I usually go there because I have friends that work there & they give me a 16% discount, I guess that ends up less than 8% after there markup. They didn't have it so I called their "shop" or satelite dealership & they quoted me $57.95 for the one they had, I called one more & they quoted me $58 something. I then checked Zanottis & the online price was $33.50 WTF! I usually stick up for the dealers since like today I wanted to get a part so I could be riding tomorrow, but marking up parts that they are evidently already making a good profit on is ridiculous, if Zs can sell it for $33.50 it can't cost more than 30 bucks. Just a heads up when you're looking for parts, check around first to see who's trying to rip you off, whether it's just a few bucks or not it's the principal of it & they wonder why so many are buying online.
