My '95 Roadking pulled to the left a little, but not so much that I couldn't center it with a body shift. My EG Classic and the wife's Heritage will go for miles hands free.

Regards,

Bill

Hey Hdbiker1450,
Check and see if your clutch cable is pulling on the left bar.

My Ultra is straight as an arrow, no pull left or right.

My 06 Ultra is perfect! I can set the cruise, And light a cigarette, get a drink of water, etc. Only on smooth roads, and I keep an eye out for debris, roadkill, etc. It is balanced perfect. Like an old Schwinn 10 speed!

I've asked it before and I'll ask it again "why do all the bikes pull left"?

That`s why a lot of bike builders go with right side drive, to balance out the bike.
250 and 300 series rear tires means the drive belt has to move farther away from the centerline of the bike. Couple that with a 3" open primary belt drive and the primary gets kicked out so far it makes it very difficult to mount foot controls in a manner which would be practical and comfortable. Move the drive belt to the right side and you can bring the primary back in much closer because there's no drive belt between the primary and the tire. Right side drives are more about making things fit than they are about weight and balance.

It pulls left on mine and most other people's bikes. If your buddy's bike does not pull left than something is wrong with his alignment.
I just can't make myself go to the dealer and tell him to make my RK pull to the left. I just can't do it..........

My '05 ultra pulls slightly to the left also. We had a lot of discussions here last year on this subject. If I remember correctly, it has to do with alignment and not all shops know how to correct it. If mine were pulling hard I would be concerned.

My '02 Ultra tracks straight down the road too. My tech says that mis-alignment is impossible because conical spacers are used to center the rear axle. My bike has always tracked true, now at 46,000 miles.

BTW, my right saddlebag contains tool kit and bungees, maybe a jacket. The left side is usually empty unless wifey comes with me.

Update: now at about 50,000 miles the bike isn't tracking true anymore. Every bump kicks it to the right a little. Accelerate in a right hand curve and it will tighten the turn. Straight ahead, cruise set at 40, and hands off, it veers right, In the twisties it will resist a left turn, and dive into a right turn. Tech has checked engine mounts, axles, spokes and says all is well there. Next will come swing arm bushings, steering neck bearings. Will post the result.
