Ok - so there have been about a bazillion threads on this, but besides those two, are there any OTHER lower options? I have nothing against either the HD or HC models, just wondering if there is another choice.
had the hc on my road king, quality is good...now i have the hd lowers and they look better and function better...i know there are others out there from china but its like putting kia parts on your bentley

Yeah - the chinese ones are a no-go for me anyway. I'm on a Road Glide.
I like the look of the Hog Chopps, and since I dont care one way or the other about glove boxes, they're a good alternative to the HD ones.
I had a 02 ultra and I alway felt like my feet felt cramped it. I have a 32" inseam and I like to stretch my legs. Going to try the HC this time. Bought them from a member on this site. I'll let you know when I get them on the bike.

I have the HD lowers. There's been several threads lately about the chinese knock-offs. The guys that run the Hog Chopps seem to like them. There's a company that makes leather covered lowers that look good on RKC's (leatherpros). You could consider the soft lowers (sometimes called "chaps" that wrap around your crashbar). I think that's about it.
I do think the HD ones look better but with me being 6'5" and size 13-14 shoe (depending on brand) I need the extra room plus would like to move the boards further forward as well.
There was mention that the HD performs better, I do not see how they could block more wind than the HC since they look even bigger.
I do like that the engine still gets air with the HCs and you do not have to take them off in the summer.
I have a RG as well and mainly need them to help with the turbuliant air coming up from the fairing.
I've got a pair of HD lowers off my 08 Roadie that I would sell if anybody is interested. They have the glove boxes and Hoppe vents installed. They are custom painted, but I would sell them for $650 so you could easily have them painted and still be ahead of the game.

I can get a brand new color matched set of Vented HD Lowers from Zanotti HD (deliver to my house in Texas) for $521.90.
So how is your $650 ahead of the game?
