OK, I have been reading the thread about the opinions in cruise control and it seems like everyone that has it likes it a lot. I plan on doing a lot of traveling on my 08 Street Glide and think that would be a very nice option to have.
So now I'm wondering if this is a DIY install or is this one best left to the dealer?
If DIY is a good option then where is the best place to buy?
Go to the Harley website, click on accessories, type in the data for your bike, and find the cruise control. Download the installation instructions and read them. If you aren't comfortable doing what is required in the instructions, then it is a dealer install. It is not that difficult as it is basically plug and play. I bought mine off eBay. Look for a good price but make sure you look at the shipping. I usually look for the ones with a discounted price and shipping included.

Thanks, I did not realize that you could download the instructions from the Harley site. I will check it out.
Pretty easy job. When you remove the old handlebar controls, make sure you have secured the mirror, or it could swing into a painted surface (I got lucky and caught mine just in time!).
