Default Just wondering

If you'd read your owners manual (and who doesn't?) didn't it seem odd that the flashers never blinked when you turned it off?

Yeah, what he said ^^^. If you had read your manual, seems that on Day One when you drove it home and parked it in your garage, you would have noticed no signal light flash when you pushed the button on your fob. Took you all winter to figure that out?

(Perhaps security works differently on an '09 than my '06.)

Yah.....how stupid of me to not catch something 2 dealerships overlooked. I only rode the bike a couple of times before putting it away for the winter. And no, I didnt notice it when I pushed the button on the fob because there is no button ya dork. Easy for you to sit back and judge behind your keyboard.

You don't have to push a button, the security system automatically arms itself and flashes the running lights after a few seconds when turned off. If you don't have the siren, do the Radio Shack install for 6.95 real simple! now when I go to the garage and start messing with my bike without the key, I have to run back in the house and get it before it wakes up the neighbors...lol

Kind of a thing a new rider might miss but by reading some of your other post's, you seem to know your way around the bike. Thought maybe after 1000 miles you might have noticed the signals weren't working when you shut it down.

I bet the dealerships love seeing you pulling into their parking lot, making sucha big deal over a minor oversight such as programing your precious fob. BTW, no need for name calling, dumass.
