1130cc.com was my home for many years before I bought the SG. I learned a wealth of info there but when you get older, comfort is more important then speed. Once I bought the SG, the V sat unused for almost a year and a half.
Same for me. I loved the Revo motor and the bike. But I had to get out of the wind or quit riding (neck issues). Easy decision.
But I do really enjoy the SG now too. And the low RPM torque.
Has anyone actually taken the measurements of both motors AND transmissions to compare the overall dims? I don't believe the voids (motor hole) in the frames are that much different. Sure nothing would fit and it would be a huge fab job, but there is lots of talent out there. How about early those X-Wedge projects?
4k in a vrod is not the same as 4k on a bagger, crusiing at 3-5k is the norm for a vrod, hence the bad mileage, but you can launch a vrod at 5k and and just take off and blow away any other harley out there.. so if geared up the "missing torque" would not be an issue but mileage would..
