Any vendor make a solo seat that uses the HD driver backrest?
Looking for a solo seat that allows me to keep the adjustable drivers backrest mounting hardware in place on the bike (09 Ultra). Checked all the regular vendors and dont see anything. Would like the solo look without having to pull the back rest for longer trips.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the adj backrest have the gaudy mechanism that sits on the fender behind a solo seat? If so, why would you want that thing showing with a solo seat? I'm just speaking from the 08 standpoint, not knowing if they changed the set up for the 09's. But I wouldn't want that thing out in the open with a solo.
Any of the solo seats out there have to use the same two fender studs that the backrest needs to use. You'll probably have to say siyanora to your backrest if you want to go solo but you can get a solo seat that comes with the riders backrest. In fact, I have 2 for sale.
Thanks for the replies. Did not think the bolts used by the back rest would be a big deal, the passg grab rails fit over the same bolts. So if no one makes it, maybe a solo seat I will talk to mean city/C&C/ to see if one could be modified with a "cut out" so the solo slips over the bracked for the backrest. If I did not have a adj. back rest it would not be a big deal to unbolt it but with the cable for the adjustment, it would be a pita.

The cable slips out of the bracket pretty easy, then zip tie it down under the seat.
I did this while trying a Mustang backrest.
C&C makes a solo seat with it's own drivers backrest. You best option probably.
