I was wondering if this is a good deal and is what I need for my 2010 Ultra. It is listed in ebay as a screamin eagle pro super tuner for $270. It seems as cheap as you can get.
Chicago Harley Davidson lists it for $368. The lister says it is the latest model and all I would need after this is the cable, tuning CD and training CD (CHD $80). How hard is it to use and could a weekend tinkerer with enough common sense and computer knowledge be able to tune his motorcycle without burning it up. Any good tips?
I had mine done at the dealer when I bought my 09 Street Glide. I do know that the SEST is only good for your bike and cannot be used on another. I would make sure this is a reputable seller.
Purchased one last month from same guy also !!...No problems, brand new in a sealed box. No issues what so ever..Rumor has it he bought out an inventory but who knows?? All I do know it is the latest version and according to the local tech in this area the cost was lower than the dealerships !!. I also paid 270 w/free shipping !
I got one from him last November for $225 and it works great. He has changed his name 2x since then. Just the SESPT as the cables/software are extra $$ items. Only knock is variance on shipping. Mine took about 15 days but my bike was in storage anyhowz.
Sounds like a good thing to me, but I would liek to see the install guide first. Normally I will go th the Moco site for the accessories install pages, but I guess this doesn't really qualify as an accessory.
Still would liek to know I ahve everything, and understand the install, before going for it. I have been holding back on getting a TTS or PCV for a while, but it get harder to wait every day.
I put on V&H Monster Ovals, and used the Tuner... the local Harley shop said it was the best way to go... meaning you don't need it, but I disagree, my bike had the basic flash that came with it and it runs great. I think if you have the money getting it dyno tuned would be better. Mufflers sound great and bike runs lots cooler.
