I spent several months in the Memphis area 32 years ago . I will be riding through there next year. I plan to ride I-40 from Memphis to near Flagstaff on the return trip.
does Sun Records still let people in to look at the studio ? to me that was way more interesting than Graceland , although GL was fun .
we stayed at the place across the road , with the guitar shaped pool (still there ?) .
it was 10 or 12 years ago , dunno how bad the area was , we normally are in our room watching tv by the time it gets dark . didn't get woke up by gunshots or sirens .
