Thinking of going with a thunderheader 2 into 1. Anyone have knowledge of these? Compared to a v and h pro pipe or a d and d fatcat? Been thinking on those 2 also. I'm pretty near stock now. Would I have to remap?

Love my TH's! Great sound and better yet, great performance. I would suggest re-mapping DYNO runs to get the most out of your set up. I picked up 6-7 hp & 5-7 torque ft. lbs.. They ain't much to look at but I still think they're the best 2 into 1 pipe on the market.
Thunderheader makes a great sound and it has good performance. The only downside is the build quality of the pipe. I've ran the Thunderheader on my last two bikes. Recently I've switched to the D&D FatCat on my new bike.
The D&D build quality surpasses the Thunderheader by MILES! Now if the D&D had the sound that the thunderheader had, I'd be happy Now my bike sounds like a freakin Nascar....LOUD as hell.
Can you explain a little more about the build quality? Do they rust? Is the chrome / powdercoat bad? I like the fatcat too but I need to hear one up close. A buddy has a TH on his old sturgis shovelhead and it sounds great. Not too loud but nice and deep. It looks kinda weird with the shape but I kinda like it since it's the shape that's said to help create the hp gain.
Thunderheader is a fine performing pipe with a little baffle tuning. Sound good too.
Seems that more owners have been going to other pipes the last few years tho.
D&D as mentioned seems to be very popular.
I like the sound of my TH and the performance is nice as well but the quality of the pipe is suspect. My pipe hasn't rusted or anything but it has started to get a buildup of dirt around the bottom of the pipe and over time the pipe just starts to look crappy.
My next set of pipes will be the Rinehart's (nice sound and good looking 2 into 1).

Dont go by the look or sound of your buddies on a shovel, it will be different on your TC. They are great performing pipes, the heat shields suck and the chrome used to suck but has gotten better recently. Dont be concerned about "build quality" they are well built and last for years.

Dont blame dirt build up on the pipe mfg, they're not the ones not keeping it clean.
Your gonna be disappionted in the power loss when you change to a Rinehart 2-1, they DONT perform near the Thunder Header.
