The Dynaxorb does reduce the backwave which should theoretcally provide better sound. I have them on my bike and it does reduce vibration in the outer fairing. A couple of weeks ago, a buddy had a SG with the same head unit, Arc 125.2 amp and J&M 7.25 speakers at his garage--same set-up as my bike except for the speakers. I don't know if the bike had the J&M open cell material installed on the inside of the fairing, but using the same music source (FM radio station) played on both bikes, the vibration in my outer fairing was noticeably less than on the other bike.
