HELP. Need wire color code for HK radio amp install.
I'm right in the middle of my Elf amp install and I can't seem to find the color codes for the Left and Right speaker wires (+/-)coming out of the Harmon Kardon stock radio head. I was told to look them up on the internet but can't seem to find them.
Hope to finish tonight. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The guy at the amp store said to make sure which wire was positive and which was negative. Got your color codes but not sure which would be positve and which negative.
I've gone from great sounding J&M's to crappy sound. So far the amp sounds so bad. Not sure what to do. Looking at changing the grounds. I have both wires together (the pwr gnd and the small black from the speaker connections. Could this be causing the problem?
The only other thing I can think of is if I have the +/-'s wrong. Don't know if this matters.
I also splice into the harness and connected the wires coming out of the radio to the amp. Maybe I should have grabbed them right off the speaker connections? It looks like that's the way the J&M amp guys did it.
