If the holes are oversize, you can wrap some tape around the shoulder of the well nut so it will fit tighter.

Two holes in my RG fairing were molded oversize oval. I slipper a sleeve of shrink tubing over the rubber wellnut, but didn't heat it. Quick easy fix.

Not quite sure how these fall into the fairing; unless mine are in backwards!

The washer and wellnut head are against the outside of the fairing, the little plastic washer is outside of the windshield (windshield is between the two) the wellnut is pushed through the fairing and then the donut (made once you tighten the screw) is inside of the fairing. When I removed the screws the wellnut's donut stayed swollen and I had to push it out to change them. Well, at least this is what the manual says...I know it seems that doing it the other way would give you the strenght of the washer to pull against when you tighten the screw down but the donut that the screw makes in the wellnut is more than enough to hold the windshield tight. If you want you could probably use a thin plastic washer between the donut and the back of the fairing for added strength. Is this wrong???
