Default 2013 Road Glide Ultra Windshield Issue

So I take my new bike out for a ride across the river to pick up some parts yesterday. By the time I get to the dealer the windshield is starting to come loose and one of the screws has popped loose. Its Sunday so the service department is closed but one of the guys tells me that if when they put it together they didnt tighten it down one of the clips probably fell off. They just have to split the fairing and put one back on.
I fold up a paper towel and put it underneith the edge to protect the paint and go home. By the time I got home a second one came loose.
I split the fairing..... WTF .....there are no clips, just rubber grommets thru the fairing that compress when you tighten them down. What idiot came up with this idea ???
What are you guys doing to fix this ?

Just snug them up, 72,000 miles and no problem with mine.

First, the screen is held by "well nuts". They are a pain in the *** if you don't know what you're doing. Very easy to damage if you install the screen improperly, end result just what you are experiencing with the well nuts popping out. Go on the roadglide.org forum and you will find tons of threads on this topic and some helpful hints. And no, you don't have to take the fairing off to put in new well nuts.

Put the well nut on the shield. Run the screw in until it's just snug and doesn't expand the nut. Push nut into the fairing hole. Tighten the screw 9 turns and stop. 9 turns is all you need.
