Default I'm pissed

I had more music installed on my 07 bagger. It took awhile to do it. Right off the back I noticed my blinkers do not work. I thought ok fine I'll get around to change the fuse later. A week later I find that my brake lights also do not work. I did find a blown fuse but that was not the problem.
Does anyone know where I should start looking for the problem? The sun is out & I cannot ride safe knowing I do not have brake lights. Cagers are crazy & blind. And I split lanes too much.

First thing I would suggest is to stop splitting lanes. Way to dangerous, IMO, with cagers being crazy & blind.

As for fixing the solution, I'd try disconnecting the 'music' electrically and see if signals / brake lights work again. If so, then you have a problem somewhere in the electrical connection in the music...

Good luck.

Usually pinched wires at the handle bars, I don't know if you were in there lately or around the headlight if you were in there.

I know what splitting lanes means and your calling Cagers Crazy

If I were you I'd be more concerned with my riding & maintenance habits (check a blown fuse: a week later?) than what's wrong with my bike.......you're an accident waiting to happen........and it would be your fault for lane splitting (at least in NV).

Time to check your priorities.

Watch out for those snap lane changers. I split the lanes too but only when traffic is stopped and I'm reasonably sure I have enough time to to get up front. Doing it when traffic is rolling is suicidal. If I were you I would take it to your dealer for the electrical problem or to a good wrench you trust.

If you slit lanes, thanks. Your the reason that the cagers have boils on their butts for use two wheel nomads.

If he lives in Ca, lane splitting is completely legal. I've done it & usually It's no big deal. Just gotta pay attention to those around you.

ok fyi, the lane spliting is not the problem. This post was about my blinkers & brake lights. I do know the dangers of spliting. Thank you for your input & concern.
Ultra & cowboy thanks for your input.
yeah I know I'm a little crazy. I live in Cali where people drive the fast lane putting on makeup, pay attention to their cell phones & brake going up a hill.

In California, it's absolutely legal, except... if you lane split and you're involved in an accident, the passenger vehicles are considered to have legal possesion of their respective lanes, not the lane splitter, so you are held responsible for the accident. If someone does a lane change and hits you, too bad, your legally responsible, not the person who just 'didn't see you'.

Not worth the risk to me and I know that it just t's off the passenger vehicles. Of course, those that do it will always do it, until someone takes them down and you get a reminder just how long it takes to mend those broken bones and road rash. Doesn't do much for the chrome and paint on your bike either.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...
