Default Slip-on suggestions

I am looking at going to a stage 1 and want to get slip-ons that will keep the sound the same. I would like to gain the performance but not icrease the sound, any suggestions?

Couple come to mind. The Screamin Eagle Street Performance series are pretty tame. They are just a tad deeper than stockers and really not appreciably louder. Another option might be the Quiet Baffle Jackpots from Fuelmoto. If you haven't ordered your air cleaner or fuel management system yet, I think calling Fuelmoto and explaining to them what your objective is might help you get even more exhaust options.

I just bought a 2010 FLHTC myself the other week and looked at slip ons..realizing that that doesn't negate the cat converter issue, I simply decided to go ahead and put VH 2:1 Pro pipes on..it required a breather and SERT, but worth the effort I think in long run..total cost to convert with everything about $1300..

good luck

I installed Screamin Eagle Touring mufflers which are 50 state legal (somehow). They are definitely a little throatier than the stock and perfect for me.

As stated above, Fuel Moto would be worth talking to. Great customer service and excellent products. They have quiet baffles for their Jackpot slip ons.

I purchased slip ons from american customs, which are re-worked stock exhaust and 2 sets of baffles can be puchased to produce stock sound, med. loud, or no baffle which is what I like. You can send your pipes to them to modify or order from them for no down time. keep your pipes or send them in for I think it was an 89.00 credit.

I don't think the Jack Pots are loud at all. Nice, deep rumble and a bark when cracking open. Cruising tone is nice and mellow...

there all going to be a little louder than stock, u can add airintake and tuner and still get nice gains with the stock pipes.
