I don't have a dog in this action, but you will find even Klock werks shields have wavy patterns if you look through them.My old Klock Werks shield did!
I do not really want any bashing going on but I currently have a 9.5" clearview and it was perfect out of the box and I really like it I just wanted to see the difference between the ultra and see if it may have worked better. If I get a response and a resolve I will post positive. I just would like to get it resolved, I was fine with exchanging it out and not expecting a full return but at this point I do not want to install the shield because it would drive me crazy looking thru it. Again just my 2 cents.

This post wasn't created to bash LRS but to get some answers on why the shields came back... Like I said I was a tester and chose to keep the 10" Classic Flip and sent the other 2 back... and after several weeks they both show up on my doorstep.
I just want to see if anyone other had this problem and if we were to keep the shields or send them to another address. The confirmation on the first package shows a delivery date in Reno on:
Delivered RENO NV 89523 03/06/10 10:10am
and the second package was shipped on 4-2 and returned yesterday also.
I feel I have did my job and attempted to return them and in one of my emails I even sent a copy of the address... If it was incorrect I thought they would have said something. Its the same address as they have on the sales receipt and I have no other address to send them to.
I was not the only one testing the shields and can't believe that I am the only one that has had these shields returned per "Box Closed"...
Ive read on other forums about issues as well (cant say any more 'cause they're a sponser) so I hope you get this resolved. One has to question a company that uses a PO box in the first place.

enough is enough. file a written purchase dispute with your credit card company. if you hear from long ride shields after the credit card company notifies them tell them you want postage paid return labels and a full refund, i would also file a written complaint with the state attorney generals office in the state they are located in.

You obviously miss-understood my post: I only paid for 1 shield, but as a tester I was able to try different size shields until I found one I liked. I paid for the original shield and the shipment, and I also paid for the return of the 2 shields that I attempted to send back.
I started with a 8" X-stream, went to a 10" X-stream and then to the 10" Classic Flip, which I decided to keep. The first 2 were sent back as agreed to when I became a tester, but the returned shields came back to me last week; the first 6 weeks after I sent it back... I sent an email to Matt but no response as of yet...
I have in my possession 2 of their shields, which I did return as promised, but they were returned to me by the shipper, so should I keep them??? Unless I hear from them I suppose I will.
I have NO reason to dispute any charges from LRS.... The Postal services charge for delivery cannot be recouped by me, because they brought them back to me per "Box Closed"...

I'll give you 20 bucks for the 8" or the 10" Plus shipping.
I was a tester also for the 10in xtreame. After riding the 1st time and not being able to see the road out to about 50 feet, I emailed Matt and his response was basically we do not take returns, but we could send a return out for you to try. Wait a minute, thought you didn't take returns. That was over two months ago! So much for wasting $100 on a piece of junk that a sponsor will do nothing about. To anyone out there thinking of purchasing their product, stay clear of them. Too bad they are aloud to be a sponsor on this great forum, taking ones money for crappy products!!
