Glad I read this thread. I am looking for a windshield. And was looking seriously at LRS. Maybe not.

Kinda makes ya wonder why the multiple layers .....???
A.M.A.G is the registered company name for Long Ride Shields.(After market accessories group) and our products are manufactured by Quality Plastics. It seems a little bit complicated but its pretty straightforward. I hope that makes sense.

I started with the new xstream but exchanged for the classic flip up and it is like a stock shield but improved. I really like it and it looks perfect for the sg. Communicated through e-mail no problems with returns.

Default Update:

Today I received a refund and shipping cost from Alistair at A.M.A.D. aka: Long Ride Shields. The refund was sent via Pay Pal as requested and as promised I must now send the 2 shields back. I did ask once more for a verification of which address to send returns to,
Sparks, NV 89431 or
Provo, UT 84606...
As soon as I received the email verification I will print a shipping label and arrange for a carrier pickup of the shields.

One point I want to make: I received a FULL REFUND for the cost of the X-Stream... I am not sure why because I only asked for the difference between the cost of the X-Stream and the Classic Flip. Maybe this is his way of trying to make me a satisfied customer!
I was happy with the Classic Flip, but it just got better!
Thank You Alistair!

that is pretty cool.

i had sent a link to these posts to Alistair when i was ordering my Ultra Flip, as i figure it is only fair for a business to be able to address the gripes that are out there.

i am glad to see that as a company they are stepping up their game again, and are willing to right any wrongs that have occurred along the way.

pretty cool to see.

ps- i am very happy with the shield i ordered. 7" ultra flip, dark smoke. could have gone 8" or 9", but am happy so far.

Default No Problem

We're just happy we could try and make this right for you, and again I'm sorry you went through this whole issue. Thank you for taking the time to return the windshields.

Alistair

I just sent an email inquiring about a couple of shields. Was debating between a 10" X-Stream or 12" Ultra but thinking my H-D fairing pouch will require the Ultra. The 12" dark grey may fit my needs but we'll see....

If you have the 3 pouch system from HD you definitely want to go 12"... The 10" left an ugly gap on the sides and actually turned the front of the pouches down... The 12" looked MUCH better and didn't turn them down near as much. That was one of my issues... It may be for you also.

I have the longer single fairing pouch.. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Thinking the 12" Ultra is the way to go. I'm 6'3" so not a problem to see over it.
