There was a tech tip on putting some grease on the plug at the throttle body. Somebody will know what type of grease, as the description eludes me at this time. I had a wire come loose from a pin in this connector.

Pull the plug on the left side of the throttle body right behind the air cleaner back plate and clean and fill the plug with dialectric grease. It doesn't hurt to also do the same on the ECM plug. The problem seems to be with pin fretting. There is a TB about this. If this doesn't solve it the pins need to be replaced with an upgraded version.

Exactly, get some contact cleaner first and spray the TB connections down before you grease them, this works and only takes 5 minutes. Don't wait til you have the problem just do it now, especially if you wash bike a lot. If you go into limp mode on the road unplug the conector on the left side of TB and replug it.

Throttle Body, the thing your air cleaner is attached to.

I've got a little over 15,000 miles on my 2011 Streetglide, new Yaffe monkey bars at about 5,000 miles installed by dealer. So far no problems, knock on wood.

I had a sensor failure on my 2009 FLHT headed north from Vegas last summer. Bike was bone stock with 13,000 miles. It was tripple digit temp which may have contributed to the failure. The bike still ran without cruise control.

Zion HD had it fixed and us back on the road very quickly.
