Default Adding pullbacks

Hello everyone. What I am wanting to know is if anyone has put on the pullback on their Ultra and which ones did you use? I like the ones that harley has for the Roadking-Part# 55954-00. but dont know if they will fit. Dealer says no.(Cant trust them). They say I have to have the touring ones Part# 55914-98. Then I have to buy all new cables for it. My friend has a roadking with the new pullback and they fit right on. No new cables. So I quess I want to know from those of you who really know. Thanks in advance, Larry

the dealer is exactly right. the road king is very different from the touring electra glides. i have also been down that road. new cables a must. not cheap unless you are doing all the work.

I was just checking out the RK pullbacks, and it says they are to facilitate a more upright posture. Hmmm. I had thought of them because I tend to lay back more on the bike, and was hoping it would still bring em closer. Same difference, isn't it?

I just installed the touring pullback handlebar on my Street Glide this weekend. The only cable I had to replace was the clutch cable. Throttle/Idle cables and brake lines were all OK with a little repositioning. The pullback bars are nice. I wish they were just a bit wider. I find that if I don't sit in a "good posture" position that I am leaning too far back when I slouch. If I had a rider backrest I could literally lounge on the bike and still be able to reach the controls just fine. We'll see how they hold up over time. I may switch up to the Road King Touring Bars with has a wider grip with the same pullback.
