Default After checking cam shoes...

Excuse my ignorance - new to wrenching - but I want to check my cam shoes and I notice in a video on youtube that oil is lost when you open it up - which of the 3 chambers is this coming from? I assume I need to replace the oil that is lost.

You're only gonna lose a couple of ounces. Not like it's gonna drain the whole tank.

It is coming out of the cam chest. Not very much. When you button it back up, start it let it run a while then check the oil. Top off as needed. I put some aluminum foil around the frame below the cam chest and let it hang down so the oil doesn't make such a mess.
