Try Freedomshields.net, I bought a 10" dark grey recurve and when I got it I put it on and liked it so i removed the plastic film and then found it was a little too tall and to dark, but oh well I bought it. John emailed me to see how I liked it and I said I did but I thought the quality was great, it was a little thicker and good fit, and nicely polished edges. It was a little too dark for the height. Yesterday he emailed me and said he got some new material and would send me a new one and If I wanted it a little shorted he would do that too. It's on the way !!!
Regardless - call them on the phone - they aren't particularly good via e-mail. If they're really busy your very important (to you) e-mail may have been lost in the flood.
That's ashame that some folk's are not getting responses. I can only speak for myself. LRS has been nothing but accomodating to me. Both Matt and Alister have been great to deal with. Oh I almost forgot Wilma. I was one of the tester's. I sent several shields back and got a new one every time. The last one I got was the 7 inch xstreem medium tint 2.0 version I sent the 3.0 back because it was to much like the klock works. 2.0 is not as drastic. I got that one for the cost of shipping $12.00. I also have there 7 in ultra flip that I like very much, that was originally a 7 inch xstream 2.0 dark tint. So it cost me about $150.00 for two shield's that I am very happy with. The extra cost was the shipping of about 5 shield's I sent back because they were to dark for my taste. I am still a tester so if I don't like what I have in the future, I'm sure I can exchage any time! I know cause I've done it. So if you are having a problem, be patient. I was and I got exactly what I wanted. I also had a somewhat slow response at first, but they did get back to me. Maybe it's your delivery. You catch more bee's with honey! Good luck.
I ordered one last month (11 inch with recurve, light smoke), and it was defective. There were imperfections imbedded in the plastic, and it appeared to be streaked. I called and they sent me a new one immediately, and told me to just keep the old one. The new windshield is OK, but has a few minor imperfections. I don't like the hazy or cloudy nature of their material...it looks like it has a film on it. I wanted a smoked appearance (i.e. darker material, but not cloudy), not opaque. Live and learn.
I found that the cloudy haze comes off if you clean it well, both front and back. I think it's from the plastic film they use to ship it in.
btw - there's some forum members here who swear by LRS. Especially when their shields are on sale the price is unbeatable. They also sell on eBay, often for less than otherwise listed prices.
