Yesterday I decided to ride. When I left around 6:30 AM it was 29 degrees and sunny. For the First 90 miles it was right around that 30 to 35 degree area. Climbing Rabbit Ears Pass it warmed to 42. On the other side of the pass it was 50 and finally started to thaw out a little. As the day progresses and 300 miles later I finally saw 75. Today at 11:00 AM its 35 and spitting a rain/snow mix . Somedays Colorado mountain weather makes me think I should have got a snowmachine instead.
Thats what you get for living in "God's country"... Going to be 90 today and all week here in Chicago....But of course we are in flatlander country... :-)
It snowed here over the weekend. It's usually in the mid-70s by now. I still went riding yesterday. The sun peeked out for a minute, and I saw my opening. Long johns, two pairs of gloves, ear flaps on the half shell. I just went down to a local watering hole, where a buddy of mine, after being grabbed by a thirty year old hottie, said, "If only I were twenty years younger." To which I added...
I was thinking the exact same thing.
