Default Beach bars....any input?

I LOVE the look of the Beach Bars on a Road King. Unfortunatly, I've been unable to ride, or even sit on a bike that has them. I want to put them on mine, but am curious as to how they differ from the stock bars in width and positioning and such. Any input?

Stop by a dealer and sit on a Road King Custom. That will give you a good idea.

To me, they are nice and low and wide. It's a fairly comfortable position for me, but I have never ridden a bike with them on.

Yea....so far thats my problem too. I sat on a Fatboy at the dealership with some, and they felt OK, and just looked sweet. If they aren't comfortable though, I don't want 'em.

I had white bros bikini beach bars on my 01 Yamaha Road Star. I really liked them. I've sat on a RK Custom, and the bars felt ok. I put wild1 518 bars on my RK. They are similar in appearance to beach bars, but with a little more rise. They feel more comfortable to me than beach bars. I'm 6'0" tall with a 34" sleeve.

I really like the beach bars on my custom. Nice riding position. Haven't had any fatigue when I'm out all day. They give a nice look to the bike as well

Skyking, did you have to extend the wires or lines with those bars?

My 02 RK Classic had the beach bars on when I bought it and I've only sat on a RK with the standard bars so I don't have any experience with how they (the original ones) feel after a long ride. Personally, I like the BB's on my bike; I really like the looks and feel of them. A local dealer had an 05 Softail Springer Classic they had changed the original bars out on and had installed the beach bars on it. They felt pretty good in my hands as well.

I'm sending a picture of my bike with the BB's on them.

JB,

The wires were just barely long enough to work without extending. However, HD makes an extension harness, (part #72184-04). I installed the harness because it made putting everything back together a little easier. The harness costs about $35.

Regards,
Rick
