Just bought a 07 Road King Custom a few months back. Love It!!!! The only problem is the stock bars. Very uncomfortable wrist position. Any ideas on some beach bars that might alleviate this problem? Comfort is the key on long rides no doubt!
i used to use Ultra bars on my RK...it looks ugly but very comfy...really...
so iswitch to Beach bars....it is very comfy too...just back from 600 mille trip..no sore at the wrist at all...
and look good too, match the RK model...nice... i never switch back to stock bars...
the only problem i find with beach bar, its too wide, i have to carefull ride in a limited/small road....
I also felt somewhat strange and somewhat uncomfortable with the stock bars, but they didn't hurt me. If they don't hurt give them 60 days before you get rid of them just to be sure. However, if they do hurt your arms or you already made up your mind, many people have switched them to the Heritage bars. They are comfortable and they look don't look out of place on the RK Custom.
I went with Harleys own 1.25" beach bars - internal wiring and very cool and comfortable.
They look the part and eliminate the "wheel barrow" wrist position on the OEM bars.
Pastor John,
No, actually those are the stock bars that come on the RK Custom. But there are plenty of people here who have made the switch to Wild One's bars on RK's.
