My first Harley dealer used to take both wheels out of a dresser, with it leaning on its jiffy stand and a trolley jack holding the bike up. I ain't bothered by mine in the least (touch wood....).

Yea - I guess I'm really not so concerned about it breaking. It was more of "just what exactly can this thing take?" Just for future reference in case I want to pull of into a rest area and relax, just lean on the bike, or whatever.

Default Mounting

I put my left foot on the left side passenger floorboard, and grab the handlebars and pull myself up on the left side on the jiffystand, and swing my self into the saddle. Keeps me from scuffing the seat with my boots.

LOL! Thanks for the visual!

We've raised many a wheel off the ground by lifting on the jiffy stand, never had a problem. I actually had one break years ago, it was aftermarket and it broke while just sitting about a week after I put it on. When you looked at the break it was clearly a metal defect. I've never heard of an HD OEM breaking. As far as sleeping on the bike, I'm a bug guy, 300+ and I have never had a problem and have done it more times than I can remember.

Just had an issue with mine a few days ago and am now thinking about replacing the bolt with a grade 8
