Went across a speed bump the other day and drug the bottom a little. Noticed my jiffy hanging a little lower than normal so ordered a new spring.
Today, I reach down with a 1/2" wrench and the friggen bolt is barely in as in no wrench needed to take out. The spring had a little scuff and was maybe an 1/8" longer than the new one.
Installed the new spring with blue loctite and keeping the old for a spare.

Moral of the story, use loctite and check your critical fasteners which I've obviously missed.
