Default 2010 not created equal

I put d and d fatcats, big suckers, and tts tunes on 2 2010 flhx's today. It is very true that some are just faster than others.
Of course I have the slow one. My buddies bike is *** dyno faster. Mine just feels flat.
I have been after a vibration at 2800-3900 rpm's that is engine speed related since new. My bike pings like crazy with the same tune in it. I am going to address the timing issue and see if it picks up some.It runs smooth and idles fine.
The 08 i had had nothin but paint problems now the 10 is a turd.Just my luck.

Man brother, that just sucks. What type of position has been taken by the dealer on this? Just curious if they're working with you.

Speaking of breaking it in Hog-Doc, My wife is breaking her new 2010 SG Trike in according to the manual. The service guy at my Dealer told me Harley doesn't send the 103 engines with Synthetic oil in them. Is he right? If that's the case, how long before I can drop the Dino and go Synthetic?

I took it easy on it for 100 miles never letting the rpm's stay in one place too long. I really feel like theres something wrong internally. This has been going on since new. It seems like the more load on it the worse the vibration is. Hill with 2 riders or tour packs loaded.
There also has a wooring noise that has showed up in the last 1000 miles. It just turned 5200 miles.

Breaking in procedures are b.s. I left the dealer, set the cruise on and haven't taken it off except when I feel frisky and wanna drive fast. My bike runs fine and strong.

Hmmm - well while I agree that factory break in may be a little dubious I've never heard anyone recommend your approach before.

Do a search on here for break in procedure. Totally different from what the manual says. I did it yesterday even though I had 400 miles already, and it sounds really crazy but it even feels like it shift smoother. Does not make sense to me.

You need to check for air leaks.

Although, my '07 FLH would not stay close to a friend of mine's '07 FLH when they were both stock. You have the same (bad) luck as me it seems.

I've heard so many different theories on break in. Some people think you should break it really hard and others say take it easy.

A guy I know who builds motors broke his 127 Ultima in at the Drags and says it puts out some of the best numbers ever. He had a whole theory about how things seat differently depending on how you break it in.

Go figure?
