Good day all.
I have hard bags on my RK. One of the locks keeps getting stuck. I did take it off and smoothed out the washer etcc, and it seemed fine off the bike and even when I re-installed it. But a couple of days later, it's stuck again. My question is, does anyone have a solution barring replacing the whole lock? I will if need be of course but then I'll have two keys and knowing how I am, might end of breaking into it anyway. I can't see replacing all of them as the ignition, fork lock, and bags all use the same key.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Guess I should clarify. The lock is a barrel lock. Sometimes when it's locked, the key goes in but barely turns at all, feels almost solid. It makes me think the inside of the lock is fubared, then suddenly sometimes it works, feels grindy, but works.

If you need to replace the lock, take the black plastic cover off of your existing key. There is a four digit code. Order a lock for that key code. I believe you get keys with the new lock too so you will have spares.
I had tried regular graphite and my brother in law had some spray graphite which I also gave a shot, no help.
Thanks for the replies, especially rk62, that sounds like the solution. After getting the new lock I can try taking the old lock apart and maybe learn what happened.
Thanks again.
