I'm looking to replace the three bolts that keep the wind deflector attached to the fairing on my 2010 Street Glide with spiked bolts and for the life of me I can't seem to find any. Anyone have any suggestions or know where to order them
thanks
Well I believe they're 1/4-20 bolts. If you're looking for Torx button head screws, they may be tough to find. Could just go and get some stainless cap screws from Home Depot or Lowes etc.....
Ive never seen spiked bolts but I have seen people do this:
Stock windshield screws are 1/4-20 X 1/2"
Spiked nut w/ 1/4-20 internal threads - Custom Chrome or ?
1/4-20 X 1" long Gr8 allen set screws, no head
Install set screw about 1/2" into spiked nut w/ red locktite or epoxy, let cure
Add a chrome washer & install into fairing
Try Chrome Addiction in Erie,pa 1-814-868-5192 and I believe they are shiney stainless steel, friend of mine got them there or e-bay for about 20.00. Ask for a guy with the last name of Paternitti.
