All you touring folks.. plan on taking the attached route from Red Lodge thru Yellowstone down to Jaskson shortly... 255 miles.
Are there any gas stations in Yellowstone on the route I'm taking?????
or do I need to suck gas real slow?????
among other places, you can get fuel at tower junction, and Grant's Village (your Yellowstone 5). You can also get fuel in Cooke City before you enter the park. You'll be fine.

Great question... We're going to Sturgis and then spending a couple of days in Cody, WY before heading to Yellowstone. Never thought to ask if there was gas available.
Went through that area last summer, one of the bikes was a Nightster with the small peanut tank. He had no trouble at all with fuel. Like the others have said, several gas locations throughout the park. Longest section is probably between Cody and that closest set of pumps inside the park but even that is not that far. Enjoy. Great country to ride through, just watch for wildlife jumping onto the road right in front of you, that can wake you up real fast.
now just need to worry about the weather at Beartooth and thru the park...
Nope. Don't worry about it. Just prepare for it. Last trip over the Beartooth was a cold rainy, almost snowy day in late June. It was still breathtaking. First part of our day in Yellowstone was again rainy, after we stopped for the night in Cooke City. When the rain was past, though, it was all fresh, clean and beautiful. That area is spectacular, no matter the weather. Be prepared and you'll have a great time regardless of the weather.
Just keep in mind that the speed limit is 35mph or less in the park. It may take close to 10 hours to get to Jackson. You do not want to be in the park after dark.

I agree, then add in all of the stopping due to Elmer and Louise seeing their first Quail. It can be a long day.
Went through part of Yellowstone and Beartooth last July. Beartooth was awesome, needed cold weather riding gear.
Yellowstone at night, quite an expierience. My Uncles bike broke down in Yellowstone by Old Faithful. We had to ride from Old Faithful to Cody, WY at like 11. I'd like to redo the ride in daylight.
It's awesome riding there, you're gonna have a blast.
