just got the E-3's 2 weeks ago. So far, I like them alot. I had 31k on the original front, and 16K on the second rear tire when I changed them. If I get even close, I'll be happy. I do like the way these handle, road snakes are no longer a concern, can't wait to get her out on the Big Mac...

By the way, 9,800 miles with your original rear tire is pretty good, IMO. I've used Metzeler and Avon in the past and never got more than 7K with them.
I went with the 180/60-16. only slightly wider.

[QUOTE=mopar400;6805272]What made you go radial instead of the standard bias?[/Q As with cars, thinking ride and handling would be better. Can't even buy a bias ply for a car anymore.

My E3's Bias only have a couple of hundred miles on them, but I think they generate a bit more road noise than the 402's I replaced. Love the E3's

The Dunlop "American Elite" tires are due out this summer - direct replacement sizes for the '09 touring line. I've reserved a set thru Jake Wilson, as I suspect the initial inventory won't last long given all the disatisfaction with the sotck tires. These are essentially E3's and I'm hopeful they'll live-up to the E3 reputation! They've got to be better than the original 407/408 tires!

Default Do they come in a wide white

I am riding the Road King Classic with spoked wheels, do these come in a wide white? They are a pain to keep clean, but I think that this look really works with the spoked wheels.

After riding 500 miles this weekend on my new e3 radial I have found only one small problem with running a radial rear and a bias front. The front bias grabs the tar snakes more than the radial rear. The radial rear tire has improved tar snake grabbing by 50 % imo. Road noise seems to be getting better.

have about 10k on e3s, front and rear. great handling. was concerned about possible noise from these tires, but finally went ahead and put them on. on my bike, No additional noise from the tires. will definitely buy again.
