I just picked my bike up after have a woods TW6-6 cam installation on my 2010 Road Glide Custom. I have a Ness big sucker, D&D fat cat 2 into 1 exhaust, PCV with fuel moto map, and stock 96".
Give it slight throttle in any gear and the bike sputters or slightly boggs down. Cruising at 2700 rpm, 70 mph with cruise control on in 6th gear and the bike misses out and an ocassional backfire (give it throttle and it doesn't go anywhere).
Any suggestions?
Its just a guess, but check that your PC V connections and double check that you have the right map. Is it possible you loaded a table and not the whole map? I'd start there. If that doesn't work, then maybe call Fuel Moto.
I suspect if the cam wasn't installed right, the bike would run worse than this.
Wrong map, bad connection with PCV...maybe check the plugs and the plug wires, take them off on both ends one at a time and make sure they are seated but really sounds like a tuning problewm., Did you get a new map when the cam change was done? Call Jamie if not
I think a call to FuelMoto is in order. You didn't indicate if you had bought your stuff from them, but I'm presuming you did. The occasional stutter in 6th gear is something I experienced also and Jamie fixed that in about 15 minutes over the phone and internet. Give them a try first and see what they say.
