Default HD air shocks bleeding air - any fix?

I recently purchased a 2010 Road King. The rear air shocks don't seem to be able to hold air. I've tried a variety of levels between 10-50 psi and within a few days, it seems I only have about 40%-60% of what I originally put in. Is this common? Is there a dealer fix?

Thx!

and that's why they invented the concept of warranty. if the air shock system is leaking, let them take care of it for you. once you trying to fix it yourself, you may be on your own. hey man, it's a new bike, swing into the dealership and let them know about it so they can fix it. this is a no brainer. by the way, welcome to the forum.

What did you use to add air to the shocks? If you used an air compressor you probably blew out the seals. Harley makes a decent pump just for that purpose for about 50 bucks.

What are you using to check the pressure? If you are using a regular air gauge you are probably losing a lot of air when you release the gauge from the valve. The system hold a tiny volume of air and it makes a difference if you don't use a no-loss gauge or pump.

The Harley pump/gauge is excellent.

It's a 2010, you should just take it in. If you are airing it with a compressor, good chance you blew a seal. If you are checking with a regular gauge, as said, you are probably losing the air when you remove the gauge. If you feel the need to work on it yourself, the first thing I would do is remove each fitting and reinstall it, I've seen a couple that have been loose. It takes all of five minutes to do them all and can't hurt anything. Remember, if you don't have the right pump, the shocks will be empty after you reinstall the fittings, you'll either have to ride to the dealer with no air or get a pump.

I have an 09 Street Glide, I had the same issue - it was the shrader (spelling) valve. They turned it an 1/8th of a turn and it was good as new.

Plus one on the HD pump - it is a little expensive but works great.
