In 2000 got my beloved Heritage stolen at Pomona fairplex,So Cal. At the Easyriders Show. A local kid had just finished his ground up project, they got it too. Were talking 100 feet from the hotel entrance at around 5pm with security people everywhere. Cops literally took an hour and a half to get there to take the report. Anyway I never heard anything on recovering the bike and the Insurance didnt want to give me **** for it. Took them almost three months to pay off. Dont let the insurance try to give you low book. Get comps, show reciepts, any and all upgrades. Bikes arent worth as much now as then but stick to your guns. Sorry, and good luck

There's still hope. A friend had his FJR1300 ripped off here in Japan. Normally these are shipped overseas right away and sold to unsuspecting buyers. Three months later, a forum member spots it parked at the busiest station in Shinjuku. My friend comes down and rides it home.
Don't give up to quick, in April 08 a buddy of mine had his 05 Fatboy stolen out front of a Pool Hall in Bandera. He had 100,002 miles on the clock, reported the theft to police and contacted insurance company.
This fellow is a creature of habit and had to have another 05 Fatboy and found a brand new CVO on the floor at Barnetts. Paid up and got the new bike home.
On the 14th day the police were investigating a traffic accident on a rural road and what do you know, that Fatboy was parked just up inside of the brush line, didn't have a scratch on it and had about 10 extra miles on the odo.
The old Fatboy now has 150k on it and the CVO sets there un-used with less than 500 miles on the clock.
