I will be buying new rims before the 4th of july and i wont to install myself have the floor jack and plenty of tools any tips on this swap from stock 16's is appreciated thanks rome.
Shouldn't be a problem. Calipers are easier to install
with 18's. I tend to strap down the bike when working
on both wheels. Your manual will get you through. Be
prepared for a different feel with the 21" front.

You should be o.k. If you run a 160 it gets harder.
Most likely with the 21 front combo you will have fender clearance issues. Most people tape a 1/4 to 5/16 thick nut onto the center of the tire and spin the wheel. If it rubs you have to add clearance. By drilling out both rear fender bolt holes you can then tip the fender forward by lifting up on the bottom of the rear of the fender, thus tilting it foreword. In most cases this will give the proper clearance. Some brands of tires expand more than others while riding. Plenty of post here about this issue, the tire expands, rubs the inside of the fender and blisters the paint. Good Luck.
I've had no problems with my 21 in front on 08 SG. I'm running Metzler tires. I love the feel of 21 up front. It felt odd at first but I hardly notice it now . They look good. Good luck
