I got a standard 12" smoke with the recurve. I'm 6'01" and could see over the stock windshield and would get buffeted right at eye level. Not fun when wearing glasses. With the 12" Clearview recurve the wind hits right at the top of my head. I have the Batwing by the way.
I have been running with no windshield for years. Partly because of the apes but mostly because of the buffeting. Longer trips would be nice with some wind relief. Is the recurve the real deal?
8 inch recurve on my 2006 Street Glide. Works very well.
Got the 2 inch shorter CV. It lets me see over the top while the stock ws top cut right across muy vision. It also seems to increase the still air zone so I have better vision and better wind protection. I'm glad I have it.
On my SESG I've gone from Clearview 4" (much better than stock) to the 6.5" (good, but air just brushes the top of my helmet) to the 8". Just got the 8" and only had one short ride with it. The air goes completely over my helmet. Not sure if I'll stay with the 8" or go back to the 6.5". No air to the helmet means the vents are kinda useless...
I'm 5'9"
Regardless, all Clearviews work as advertised and are top quality.
