Default Another J&S Jack Thread

Ok, so I’ve searched and read all the archives on jacks, and after much consideration I’ve decided on the J&S. The Pitbull has the advantage of lifting higher and has the grease fittings for the bolts, but it’s heaver and takes up more room, which I’m very short of in my garage. Seems like the J&S owners are very happy, and I don't think I'll ever wear it out. Before I take the plunge however, I have a few questions for you J&S owners.

ˇ Will it work with the EZ-UP center stand? The FAQ page for J&S says it will work with center stands, but it doesn’t specifically mention the EZ-UP, and I want to be sure.
ˇ Is the oil pan adaptor a good investment? It looks like it would work pretty well, but I can’t find many first hand recommendations. But I hate spilling oil on my garage floor, so I’m thinking on getting it.
ˇ Do I really need the T handle? The videos show the bikes being moved around without it. I don’t think I’ll be moving the bike around much at all, like I said, space is limited. But I don’t want to not order it, then have to pay extra for shipping later if I decide I need it.

Thanks guys, and happy 4th of July to you all.

I can only answer to the T-handle. I did not know they had one as an option and am able to roll around the garage just fine without. With the bike on secure, it is a pretty big handle in it's own right.

#1.) Not sure..
#2.) Was told by the guys at J&S it's not needed. I didn't get one and have no problem.
#3.) I don't have one and my Ultra rolls around the garage floor as easy as can be.

I've been considering getting a MC jack for years. My neighbor recently sold his Road King and has a one year old J&S with the oil pan attachment that he wants $200 for? Is this a good deal?

Have you been to the J&S website and priced them out? Hell yes it's a good deal. Jump on it!

I'd say 1/2 price is an awesome deal & you'd better jump on it before it gets taken.

I got the oil tray w/mine & it works as designed (lays in center & catches all the oil/drips) so I like it. Didn't get the handle b/c & push my scoot all over & just hang onto bike, but you could consider this option b/c of limited space (maneuverability) - not a problem in my 3-stall garage (plenty of space). Don't have the center stand so I can't give feedback, but can say the supports are wider than other jacks so if your stand's on center it should clear. Good luck & you won't regret the investment.

I love my J&S jack but I'd pass on the oil pan. I have it and I don't think it works well. Doesn't really fit well. At least on my bike anyway.

Have it! Use it often!! Is built like a tank!!!
The oil pan is a pain to install but worth the effort to catch the oil, otherwise the oil spills down through the lift arms!!
I didn't get the handle and don't think I miss it.

I would not even attempt to drain my fluids when it's up on my J&S.
I drain all three holes while its on the ground keeping the catch pans on the floor.
After the last drop is out and the plugs are installed I then use the lift and put fluids in.
My reasoning is.....I can walk away for an hour or a day while everything drains.
Also, I don't like old oil all over my lift.
