The first accessory I bought was the 'spacer', then removed mine. I kept sticking my heel on it without realizing it....

Every now and then, I'll reach down and 'grab it'....checking to make sure it's still tight.

To me, it doesn't make any ergonomical sense. You have to use all (exaggerating) your muscles in your leg to lift your heel up, on the other hand it's just one little toe flip. I don't get it.
fleabite-- I do respect your comment and choice, but I never lift my leg to use the heel shifter-- I just pivot up using my toes and let my heel land on the peg...

Also I set the toe and heel shifter very close to the footboard for minimum movement either way and with the toe shifter low on the footboard I can easily get my foot well into the lower fairing if it's a cold and/or wet ride

Wouldn't leave home without it............

I have it and use it for every upshift. I think I would have a hard time without it now

.... i really liked my Harley Davidson when i first got it, i fell in love w/operating my Harley Davidson when i realized how the heel shifter worked.
.... I put an extended shift lever on it after a couple years & have no issue w/ movement on the footboard.

Use mine about 98% of the time! Have extended levers on both toe & heel. Heel lever extends beyond floorboard & the top of the heel shift peg is about flush with the floorboard I would'nt be without it & pleanty of room for my size 12.5's!

100% of the time here...Just more comfortable for me to use the heel shifter than lifting up on the toe shifter to up shift.
