About the third time I caught my pant leg on it and damned near dumped the bike, off it came!

the only bike i ever owned that kept its heel toe shifter was a honda 50 when i was a kid back in the early sixties. thanks a lot, you just reminded me that i'm officially an old fart. the heel shifter was the first useless part i removed from my streetglide.

I think they put it on there just so we could take it of and buy that chrome cover. No use for a heel shifter ever

I don't use it most of the time. I use the bike mostly for transportation to and from work, which I wear my steel toed boots..... so I seldom use it on these commutes. However, when I'm just taking it for a spin on the weekends, and have tennis shoes on, I use it a lot. I've never had one before, and so I'm used to just using the toes... have to conscientiously remember to use it.

I never had one til I bought this Ultra. I use it all the time now. Wouldnt be with out one again. They can also be used as a spare if your toe shifter breaks on a trip.

1st mod was remove heel shifter. 2nd mod was floorboard extensions.
Now it's a comfy ride.

Just took mine off a few days ago. Felt alittle funny as i was used to shifting up with it, but now it feels better having more room on the board.
